Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU; (Czech: Česká zemědělská univerzita v Praze – ČZU)) is a university of agricultural education and research in Prague, the Czech Republic, established in 1906.

Currently the university has more than 20 000 students (more than 10% are international students), 6 Faculties and 1 Institute. CZU offers over 170 accredited study programmes at BSc, MSc and PhD levels (in 9 BSc, 20 MSc and 18 PhD programmes the language of instruction is English).

The university has 1 700+ employees, of which more than 700 are Professors or Associate Professors. Since 2007 the Czech University of Life Sciences is member of the Euroleague for Life Sciences.

Hynek Roubík

Associate Professor Ing. Hynek Roubík, Ph.D. - Group leader of Biogas Research Team (Czech University of Life Sciences Prague). He is founder of Biogas Research Team and its current Group leader (PI). He deals not only with aspects related to biogas but also with waste management issues in general.

Stacy Hammond

Dr Stacy Hammond graduated with a PhD degree from the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture (FTA) in 2021, she currently works as a researcher at the division of Plant Physiology and Cryobiology, Crop Research Institute (CRI), Prague, saving plant biodiversity for present and future generations through the cryobanking of endangered species.

Jan Staš

Jan Staš is a PhD student, project administrator, junior project manager, and tropical sciences expert with a focus on food security and aquaculture. Jan's research focuses on the usage of sustainable technologies for food processing, small-scale aquaculutre systems and integrated farming systems in low-income countries.

Masha Gulak

Within this role, she incorporates her skills and understanding of science communication and social media to develop dissemination strategies to highlight the work of BRT. Masha holds a BSc in Wildlife Biology obtained from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt and is completing her at CZU.
