The OSIRIS project is pleased to introduce Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hynek Roubík, a work package lead and key focal point of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), a partner institution of the OSIRIS consortium.

Assoc. Prof. Roubík is the second youngest member of the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the platform for bioeconomy of the Czech Republic. Since 2021, he is one of the youngest holders of the academic title of associate professor in the Czech Republic. He is currently engaged in research work at the Department of Sustainable Technologies of the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture of the CZU in Prague, where his scientific interests are focused on organic waste management and sustainable technologies.

He is also the founder and Group Leader of the Biogas Research Team (BRT) at CZU, a university of agricultural education and research in Prague, the Czech Republic. His research team not only deals with aspects related to biogas but also with waste management issues in general. The main long-term research interest of his team is to reveal the current state, bottlenecks and perspectives of biogas plants in both developing and developed countries.

Assoc. Prof. Roubík is a part of the OSIRIS project as he believes that as the leader of his team and a professor helping to guide and shape young researchers, it is crucial to ensure that this generation and the next are able to produce evidence-based results and have a clear path in conducting Reliable and Trustworthy scientific research.
