Improving research reproducibility requires more than policies and recommendations; it requires a community of researchers, professionals, and institutions working together to test, refine, and implement solutions.

That is the vision behind the OSIRIS Reproducibility Network, an initiative bringing together people interested in strengthening the quality, transparency, and reproducibility of research across disciplines.

Building a Community Around Reproducibility

The network is coordinated through OSIRIS Work Package 3, led by Florian Naudet, Professor of Therapeutics at Rennes 1 University, France.

The goal is to create a collaborative space where researchers and professionals can learn about reproducibility, participate in research activities, and contribute to the development and evaluation of practical interventions designed to improve research practices.

According to Florian Naudet, the network serves multiple purposes:

  • Supporting training and capacity building
  • Providing opportunities to participate in research projects
  • Connecting researchers interested in reproducibility
  • Testing and improving practical interventions

Learning Through Training and Engagement

One of the key activities of the network is providing educational opportunities for researchers and professionals.

Through webinars, training sessions, and collaborative activities, participants can gain a deeper understanding of reproducibility challenges and explore practical approaches to addressing them within their own fields.

Importantly, participation is not limited to specialists in reproducibility research.

Researchers from any discipline can contribute valuable expertise and perspectives to the network.

From Development to Testing

The OSIRIS project has already developed several interventions aimed at improving reproducibility.

The next step is to evaluate how these interventions perform in real-world research environments.

This includes activities such as:

  • Testing reproducibility interventions
  • Participating in randomised controlled trials
  • Applying and evaluating research checklists
  • Contributing to the refinement of existing tools
  • Supporting implementation studies

As these activities expand, the network provides an important platform for collaboration and engagement.

Why Join Now?

The OSIRIS team believes this is an ideal moment to become involved.

Many interventions have now been developed and are ready for testing, while training resources and practical examples are already available for participants.

Joining the network offers the opportunity to:

  • Learn from experts in reproducibility research
  • Contribute to ongoing studies
  • Expand professional networks
  • Help shape future research practices
  • Support the development of more transparent and trustworthy science

We have already developed some interventions, and now we want to test them. So now we need a lot of people joining the network.” – Florian Naudet

An Open Invitation to Researchers

The OSIRIS Reproducibility Network welcomes researchers and professionals from all fields.

Whether your expertise lies in medicine, the social sciences, engineering, the natural sciences, the humanities, or another discipline, your experience can help strengthen the collective effort to improve research reproducibility.

You do not need prior expertise in reproducibility research to participate.

If you are interested in contributing to better research practices and helping evaluate innovative solutions, the network would like to hear from you.

Get Involved

The OSIRIS Reproducibility Network continues to grow as the project advances its work on evidence-based interventions and community engagement.

Researchers and professionals interested in joining the network or learning more about participation opportunities are encouraged to contact the OSIRIS team.
